Course Description: Today’s waterblasting market has seen an ever increasing demand for higher working pressures, exceeding the 50,000-psi range. In addition to the high working pressures, the hose must stand up to rough handling while maintaining the proper safety margins as put forth by the industry. At these pressures it is becoming even more critical that field operators are familiar with the proper use and care of high pressure hose as well as utilization of safety devices to prevent injury. This session will cover four key topics: basic hose construction, how to inspect high pressure hose, proper care and use of high pressure hose, and what safety devices are available to protect the operator. At the end of the seminar attendees will have the opportunity to inspect a hose for possible failure points during waterblasting operations.
